Vox Agency’s founder, Stephanie Purcell, sits down with FREE PEOPLE’s Nicole Langille, an award winning event planner and marketing expert. They talk about behind the scenes of bringing an event to life, organizing the various aspects and logistics involved, the joy of seeing it all come together, and the monumental task of creating Deloitte Canada’s 2022 Corporate Event. Nicole has won prestigious awards including Canadian Events Awards “Best Corporate Event” in 2023 and MPI’s “Event of the Year”. Her diverse portfolio includes event production and hosting high profile clients from as far away as Asia, Latin America and back to her home in Atlantic Canada.

Winning the MPI Atlantic Canada Chapter Event of the Year Award for the Deloitte Canada Annual Partner Meeting was an incredible honour, recognizing the collective effort behind Mod Market, Party in a Moonlit Park, and A Fortified Kitchen Party. While we’ve been fortunate to receive both national and international awards in 2023, this one is especially meaningful because it comes from our own Atlantic Canadian community. We share this recognition with the 1,000+ people who helped make Halifax shine, delivering a series of unforgettable experiences that truly captured the spirit of our region. Winning the Canadian Event Award for Best Corporate Event Over $350,000 in 2023 was a milestone moment for us. This recognition celebrated our work in designing and executing a high-impact corporate experience that blended strategic event planning, dynamic design, and seamless logistics. From concept to execution, we focused on delivering a meaningful, engaging, and flawlessly produced event, reinforcing our commitment to elevating corporate gatherings into unforgettable experiences.

We were featured in the Spring 2023 issue of Canadian Special Events Magazine (page 36-41), highlighting our Fortified Kitchen Party event at Halifax Citadel National Historic Site. The article showcased how we transformed this iconic venue into an immersive celebration of East Coast culture, cuisine, and music, blending authentic storytelling with bold event design. This recognition reinforced our passion for crafting unforgettable destination experiences, and we are proud to be recognized as a leader in the Canadian event industry.

We were thrilled to receive a BizBash Event Experience Award for Best Catering at an Event in 2023 for our work on Mod Market for Deloitte Canada. This recognition celebrated our ability to curate an interactive, market-style dining experience that elevated corporate catering beyond the expected. By combining thoughtful design, local culinary talent, and a dynamic guest experience, Mod Market showcased our commitment to innovative, high-impact event execution.

On August 20, 2022, Nathan Mackinnon brought the Stanley Cup home to Halifax to share with his community and fans in a celebratory parade through the streets of downtown Halifax. Highlights included a visit to Cole Harbour Place where Nathan grew up playing hockey, the firing of the Noon Gun at Citadel Hill National Historic Site, and a Q and A in Parade Square where thousands of fans were in attendance. Nathan also visited the Veterans Memorial Hospital, the IWK Children’s Hospital, and the Halifax Wanderers Game before ending the day with a party for friends, family and fellow NHL players.
